The human in Humanoid.

Every season the Humanoid collection gets us. I mean, you don't go in thinking you'll want one of everything and often you don't think about it at all, amidst Isabel Marant, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Alexander Wang. But then it arrives. It arrives, and everyone ends up 'NEEDING' upward of 1 item. Every time. The conclusion. It's just so easily integrated into your existing wardrobe, whatever your style may be, that it is impossible not to comply.
Cute as look book to boot! And just there above right, that looks like a caramel fudge right?! Make your way to the corner shop Paddington and take it all in.

Vintage Sci-Fi thanks to Anton Heunis

Anton Heunis brings vintage sci-fi to the world. The idea of vintage sci-fi may not read like it makes sense (it doesn't until you see what Anton Heunis creates and then, somehow, it all makes sense. Don't believe me? See for yourself.

See what i mean? Seriously. Pop into the corner shop Paddington or The Strand Arcade to take it all in!

Fimo and Play-Doh!

We are a little bit taken by Cat Party. One because catties are so cute and two because this blog post such a miriad of fine things. Including this, which we are all obsessed with - from I Love You magazine.

Ice Queen.

We are really having a moment with Bjork...such a unique voice and vision. We love her evolution musically and otherwise from Sugarcubes, to 'that' dress and her visit to perform at our Opera House in 2008.

PRINCETON. envy.

Thanks to a blog we follow regularly and LIFE Magazine archives the following photos from Princeton in the late 60's are posted below for you to enjoy.
So is their story...
It was in 1969 that Princeton University first admitted women as undergraduates. 148 women, consisting of 100 freshwomen and transfer students of other years, entered Princeton on September 6, 1969 amidst a frenzy of media ogling and ribbing. Scores of women’s papers and magazines, like Woman’s Wear Daily, featured articles on what the stylish Princeton freshwoman wore on campus, and practically every woman student was featured in her hometown newspaper.

Amazing right?! It's enough to inspire one to start thinking about how to build a time machine again (come on, we've all thought about it!). To have been around late 60's early 70's as a teen during the flower revolution must have been incredible. If you, your sisters, brothers or parents have any enlightening stories of that era - we'd love to hear anecdotes. Or if you have imagery to rival these, we'd love you to send them on through!!
