Beautiful new arrivals from Konstantina Mittas are now in our Strand Arcade store. The floor-length black silk dress and gold lace embroidered pieces are perfect for special occasions, and we love the yellow ice-skating skirt for something fun.

Soludos
Soludos are our newest footwear obsession. Hailing from New York, they re-work the classic espadrille to create the ultimate easy-to-wear summer shoe.
And with the price range between $33 - $35 we will be stocking up on different colours and prints for the ultimate in holiday chic.
We caught up with the designer Nick Brown and asked him a few questions about our new shoe crush...
What is the concept behind Soludos?
Soludos are inspired by the classic jute soled espadrille shoes that I grew up wearing that have been sold in the markets and on the beaches of the Mediteranean for centuries. We updated the traditional colors and patterns as well as improving the overall structure of the shoe but they are still the simple espadrilles that you know and love or will come to love. Soludos is very much a celebration of the summer, those perfect summer afternoons where day seemlessly turns to night.
It is our first season this year and next year we have some exciting NY based design collaborations with Opening Ceremony and Steven Alan.
What first interested you in design?
Ive been wearing espadrilles for ages since travelling to Spain as a kid but they are notoroiously hard to find. I would bring espadrilles back to my current home, New York to share with freinds and realized an opportunity. The designs and color ways are classic and compliment a night out or a day at the beach. What I love about Soludos is that they are definately a summer shoe so while the winter cold freezes New York and much of Europe, I have the tough job of chasing the summer and introducing Soludos to the southern hemisphere. Im down in Sydney for a few more weeks, then Capetown and then off to samba in Brazil.
What are your favourite things to do in summer?
Where do I start? Everything is more fun in the sun. In no particular order: Barbeques amongst freinds, good tunes, a little backgammon, an afternoon dip, a skinny dip, cider on the rocks, aimless road trips, sponatnous lazy afternoons in the sun, festivals and ice cream.
You can find Soludos at the corner shop Strand Arcade.
