Designer inspirations at the corner shop Paddington

To celebrate Fashion Week this year, we have collaborated with three Australian designers to create mood boards for us that represent the inspirations behind their spring/summer 11 collections.

The installation can be viewed at our Paddington store.

This week we are proud to celebrate some of the most influential Australian designers who we have had the pleasure of working with, at our corner shop in The Strand Arcade.

This fashion installation includes archived pieces from 10 Australian designers over the past 10 years. Come in, have a look and enjoy a decade of corner shop style.

A hello from some of our Aussie friends at the corner shop!

Black Chalk

New to the corner shop this week is the first drop from Gail Sorronda's winter collection 'Black Chalk'.

"I awake to black chalk delineating my body. All I can see is shadows, the hidden and the space between the lines. This transparent skin hasn’t seen our sunlight. I feel safe in this chrysalis; innocent in its clarity but deceiving in its purity. I crave perfection like aliens in Egypt and protection in my lovers’ arms. The black chalk leaves an impression on my fingertips as I write a message to him in the dark… "

Vanities

French label Vanities create wearable keepsakes made of vintage designer scarves, printed cashmere, flannel suits and Brooks Brothers shirts. The bracelets are made of links of gently torn fabric later raised up by a tribal skull, sculpted in bone.

We love layering the different fabrics together for a unique vintage look.

The latest Josh Goot collection has just arrived at our store in The Strand Arcade. On trend with a few of our favourites, colour blocking and graphic prints. With Goot's signature easy to wear loose tanks and tailored blazers, we are looking forward to spending this winter in style!
