Gail Sorronda is a fashion designer, friend and style inspiration. Here she shares her travel experiences with the corner shop.
I just returned from seventeen days of caffè, calzone, fashion and countryside in Italy. Primarily to continue development but also because I was invited to participate in the White Tradeshow in Milan. There I shared a wall with designer Andrea Sagrini who has his own name sake label and is also head menswear designer for Gianfranco Ferré. I also went to the Gabriele Colangelo show, whom my agent in Milan also represents. I visited my favourite shop in Milan, Antonioli and was lucky enough to have Claudio show me pieces that he personally responds to in his shop. I also visited Corsa Como and poured over the remodelled Margiela garments in the mini Artisanal exhibition. In Bologna, I did a presentation for the students of L.UN.A (Libera Università delle Arti) about my experiences as a young designer. Also a couple of exciting things transpired which I cant make mention of just yet ;). I have one regret though, from my trip...not buying that Prada headband!
